Prime nearby fishing locations :

O'Breins Bridge / Castleconnell/Annnacotty /Plassy, all a 15 minute drive from the B&B.

The Shannon river at O'Briens Bridge is a wide slow moving and offers excellent fishing for bream, rudd, roach, bybrids,perch and pike. Specimen bream, over 8 lbs, have been recorded here and the Irish reocord was recently smashed with a recorded catch, by two londoners, of 710 lbs in one day's outing. This scenic village has become a well known angling center and hosts major competitions having a good match stretch.

Salmon fishing:

Exceptional salmon fishing at O'Briens Bridge, Castleconnell, the Mulcair river and teh river Fergus. There are many friendly towns and charming villages with welcoming pubs renowned for traditional music.

Game fishing:

Lough Derg holds good stocks of wild brown trout, providing excellent fishing especially during the Mayfly Season, which starts in early May. Access is easly available at Killaloe, Two Mile Gate, Aughinish Point, Tuamgraney and Scariff Harbours, Carrowmore Pier, Knockaport(Island Road), Mountshannon Harbour, Meelick, Church Bay and Williamstown Pier near Whitegate.

Sea Fishing:

Excellent deep sea and shore fishing on the Atlantic coast, within an hours drive from the region. Enquiries can be made from the host.
